| The Flex-Fletch Stretch Test |
| For
years, at trade shows, Flex-Fletch has been doing an unscientific stretch test comparing
the memory of a Flex-Fletch Vane against that of various other popular vanes. Now
you can see for yourself,
there is no comparison. |
| For the sake
of being fair, I've smudged the names of the other vanes. If you would
like to know if the vane you use is in there
drop me a line. The test was
done with one (1) inch of vane stretched to two (2) inches, (100%) held for
5 seconds and then returned. To be consistent, the vanes were clamped
in a vice and a small device I made, and I used a Bridgeport milling machine
and set the distance at two inches. I've included a photo of that as well. As you can
see there is only one vane that passed this test. How
about next time we try a 200% stretch? One inch of vane stretched to 3 inches. |
